Hello! I'm Rohan, born in 1997 and raised in Friesland, The Netherlands, currently residing in Groningen. I have been involved in photography for as long as I can remember. My journey in photography began during regular summer holidays, where I consistently carried a camera and took photos of everything that impressed me or just looked intereseting to me—a habit I still maintain. Over time, I delved into various styles, capturing 'real' and candid moments while also creating more artistic images, realizing the potential to turn my passion into a career. So, here I am. In recent years, I've dedicated myself to developing a distinctive style.
While my main focus is capturing people, I also enjoy experimenting with diverse styles and genres. I find satisfaction in the technical aspects of creating visually compelling photos, both in capturing moments and during the subsequent editing process. The most rewarding outcome, however, emerges when all these flawless technical elements harmonize with emotionally engaging photos. To achieve this, I craft my distinctive style by playing with lighting, composition, and colors, resulting in artistic and unusual visuals. I would describe my style als perfectionistic, artistic, colorful and playful.
My photography primarily centers around artists, campaigns, fashion, and everything in between. I generate visual concepts based on a client's needs or challenges, striving for a perfectionistic, artistic, colorful, and playful aesthetic. The pursuit of perfection in my work acts as a constant motivator, pushing me to explore new approaches and refine my skills.
Beyond photography, I actively participate in videography projects and various other media ventures, primarily as a creative producer and presenter.
